First, and foremost, we’re licensed and insured. Most people know that hiring an unlicensed or uninsured contractor is not a good idea. However, those same people will take a huge risk by hiring an underinsured company. If they sustain a loss on your property the victim will go after you financially. Tar Seal carries $2,000,000 liability, automobile, and workers compensation policies for your protection. We’re also licensed where required. Your project won’t be shut down due to permit issues with Tar Seal.

The principals of Tar Seal, Inc. have no less than 25 years of experience in the pavement industry. Tar Seal has been taking great care of customers in Florida for over 15 years

The vast majority of our projects are started and completed on their originally scheduled dates. That said, we are in Florida and our services are heavily tied to the weather. Delays can occur which are out of our control but we will always promptly communicate with you.

Tar Seal will meet with you to identify your goals for the project. It’s okay if you’re not sure about exactly what your asphalt needs. Many of our clients find it useful to request our Free Pavement Evaluation prior to our initial meeting. At the meeting we will likely discuss your budget and walk the property so that you may point out any specific areas of concern. After speaking with you & thoroughly inspecting the site, we will prepare a detailed proposal giving you options to meet your specific goals, budget, & pavement needs.

Once you have determined that Tar Seal is the right company for you, we schedule a pre-construction meeting to prepare your progress plan and introduce you to your Project Manager. The Project Manager will work closely with you to make sure everything is well planned to minimize your inconvenience.

We are experts at what we do. We specialize in parking lots and streets. Lately there’s a rash of “National Service Providers” claiming to be the “Jack of all trades”. They claim to be experts in everything from landscaping and electrical to paving and sweeping parking lots. In reality, these firms are just experts at picking up the phone and calling a local contractor to subcontract your work to. Usually the national provider dictates that the work be completed at a price so low that established, reputable companies will not work for them. They end up with desperate-for-work contractors cutting corners at the property owner’s expense. Even worse, in 2012 Target Stores filed a civil lawsuit in federal court in Minneapolis under the Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act against several of these national providers related to bid rigging and inflated invoices for work not actually performed. Tar Seal is happy to leave the landscaping and electrical work to local industry professionals. When it comes to parking lots & streets, that’s where we shine!

When we send a crew to your jobsite you can rest assured that they have been properly trained and screened for background issues. We also perform pre-employment and random drug screens.

We use modern, late model, specialized equipment. We believe that reliable, well maintained equipment is a key to our success. It minimizes the chances of a breakdown on your jobsite. If we do have an equipment failure, we can usually send other equipment to avoid any delay.

We will respond promptly to your phone calls and emails. We are proud of our work ethic. Do you have a bid deadline? You won’t be waiting on Tar Seal at the last minute.

We’re not happy unless you’re happy. We want to build long-term relationships with our clients. In fact, we have many clients who know they can trust us and they don’t even ask for a bid! They tell us to do the work and know that it’ll get done at a fair price. We’ve been in business a long time and work hard to execute every project. We want to do it right the first time. If a mistake happens, we’ll own up to it and make it right
