We mechanically squeegee applied the first coat of coal tar sealer and spray applied a second coat of sealer to numerous Pasco County schools. Per the District’s specifications, the sealer contained 3 lbs. of sand per gallon. Tar Seal used over 50,000 gallons of sealer and well over 60 tons of silica sand. The majority of work was performed on weekends and holidays. No work was permitted while school was in session. Due to budget matters, very little of this work was performed during the summer vacation months. Tar Seal quickly mobilized to each school and completed the work using our state-of-the-art squeegee machines and truck-mounted 1,000 gallon tank systems. Sealer was supplied by Sealmaster of Tampa utilizing 6,000 gallon tankers.
